Seminary The school of not Knowing
CNAM - Paris 16-17 ottobre 2023

For the realisation of a civic intelligibility project. This seminar aims to launch the third session of the school of not-Knowing. New schools joined the initial project by adding new visuals. This set will be presented in Porto as part of the Design Biennale from October 21, 2023, with the support of the French Institute of Portugal. The third phase is being organized on the basis of around thirty schools and universities, coming from France, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Poland, India and Madagascar.

The Cnam seminar, will begin the design phase. It will allow partecipants to better understand the project and its actors, and above all to begin, through examples and exercises, to confront this difficult transformation consisting of accepting that what we do not know has real value, an interest which deserves to be explored. confronts it in an open and experimental way. During this phase, attempts at educational narration will also begin, which will consist of recording an explanation from a specialist based on panels produced.

It is also at the Cnam that this phase will be finalized with a new exhibition which will take place early February 2024. The project will then continue for new phases which will also be presented during the seminar.

exhibition of didactic panels created by schools in France, Italy and Poland as part of the school of not knowing project. students from three european countries worked on the design of new didactic tools to collectively interrogate, from different points of view, our relationship with the known, the unknown, the hidden, the buried, to question representations as well as the ways in which knowledge is transmitted, to try to imagine how design can give visibility to what is not visible, make perceivable what apparently is not, see what we cannot see.

Séminaire Le rôle du design dans les politiques publiques de la ville
Sarcelles 12 décembre 2022, 14h à 18h

En 2022, un projet de recherche-action a été confiée par l’Agence nationale de la cohésion des territoires (ANCT) à l'institut de recherche en design Civic city. Cette recherche visait à mieux comprendre les méthodologies et les potentiels propres au design dans le contexte des espaces urbains dits fragilisés. Ce séminaire aura pour objet de distinguer les différentes approches de design et d’expliciter leurs pertinences par rapport aux enjeux de politique publique, en particulier au bien-être des habitants (qualité et crédibilité de l’habitat, du cadre de vie) et leur relation solidaire au territoire. Cette recherche-action vise aussi à analyser les meilleures conditions de commande publique et de mise en œuvre d’interventions temporaires et pérennes de design dans le champ social. L’installation « La Poésie dans le tissu », développée durant l’année 2022 à Sarcelles, et plus largement la collaboration de Civic city avec la Ville de Sarcelles, constitueront la principale étude de cas de cette journée.

Un événement organisé par Civic city, sous la direction de Ruedi et Vera Baur. En partenariat avec la ville de Sarcelles et dix—millairds—humains. Un projet soutenu par le programme cadre de vie de l’Agence nationale de la cohésion des territoires (ANCT).

Le projet "Scuola del Non Sapere" sera lancé ce workshops de 2 semaines dans les locaux de l'Institut français Milano. Pour cela, 5 experts en différentes spécialités (sciences sociales, physiciens, architectes, urbanistes) seront mobilisés et travailleront sur place ou à distance avec des écoles d'art et de design françaises et italiennes et l'équipe de Civic city.
